My PYP Exhibition Reflection

        

The Exhibition was two days long. Both of those exhibition days was very tiring. Each day took the whole school time. Some days it was 2 presentations and sometimes there were 3.

The first day began. It was the beginning of the two-day exhibition. I had 3 presentations to do today. One of them was the display.
Before we started the exhibition we made display boards; one for each group.

The display boards were made for showing other people about what we’ve learnt, what our goals were and what the groups’ focus is. We had 2 days to prepare for the displays. We had to present the displays on each day of the exhibition.

There was also Gaudi’s presentation that needed the whole group. We showed Gaudi’s presentation in the dance studio. Gaudi showed a movie that he made about the turtle hatchery and our trip there. We also had to explain the group focus and our personal focus one by one. We had to present this in front of our friends, families, teachers and others.

The other presentation was my quiz show that I made. I invited people to play my quiz on the smart board. A Smart board is a tool that is a touch screen. The function of the smart board is to control the computer or laptop by your fingertips by tapping on the board. I made this quiz about mining, companies and the mining company Newmont.

I think I was a good communicator because I needed to speak loudly and clearly for the audience to understand what I was saying.
The second day started. I needed only to do 2 presentations. Today the grade 4, 6, 7 and also Ibu Indah cam to see the exhibition.

The first one was the displays. Just like on the first day. This time other people had to leave comments about the display. The second day I received more question about the turtle hatchery. It was a lot of questions, but I managed to answer mostly all of them.

This time my quiz was presented in the dance studio. My presentation was turned into a game of ‘Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader’. My quiz was the last presentation. After we were done. Our teacher gave us some ‘Pocari Sweat’ and ice chocolate.

I learned that I also needed to be balanced in my quiz. You need to balanced the quantity and the quality of what you will present.
This exhibition was very tiring, we had to do a lot, but finally the exhibition was successful. I learned a lot thanks to my exhibition.

My Presentation From The PYP Exhibition

This is my quiz. I showed this quiz on 28 and 29th of May 2009. This quiz is about mining. It teaches us about mining and it’s consequences. This quiz also includes questions of minerals, mining companies and mining. There are three characters. Dave, Mark and Sally. This is a video of my quiz being played.

My Spore

In Grade 5, Mrs. T introduce us to a good new exciting program. It is called Spore and it is really fun . You have to design a Spore (a virtual creator) then you can make it fight, sing, call, bite and use other fun incredible abilities. You can also change the color. You can make the color of the monster red, blue, stripes, polka dots or other colors, actually it's like a chameleon. I really enjoyed making a Spore. You need to be creative but most of all you need to have fun.

I think I was open minded because I was really creative in creating and designing the spore. I enjoyed making the spore very much.

Science Expo

I thing the project will work because right now there is strong magnet to complete this project. I think the guy who made this idea was very smart. He tried to make it without anyones help. I think he is very smart because he took the time to measure his work and to wrap the string a hundred times. If he is willing to make the turbine from scratch only one word can describe him. It is 'Dedicated' he spend all his time to share his knowledge to the world. He is Dedicated. That is why I think that this project will work.

Share The Planet

Sharing The Planet means to share this planet with animals, plants and other species. We need to share this planet with every species.  Humans need plants to make O2 and animals for too help us. There are human, plants, animals and other speccies. But without eac other we cannot live. That is why we need to share the planet!

A Basketball Talent

 

I have lots of talent, but I think my best talent is playing basketball. It is a very good fun game. My father first taught me basketball in the age of 6. My favorite day is Tuesday because it is the day I have the subject sports and I also have an after school activity (and yes it is basketball J). That is why I like Tuesdays.

 

My favorite teams are Miami Heat and the New York Nicks. Those are my favorite teams. I like it when one of the players do my favorite move (the slam dunk)! But it is very hard even I can’t do it, but it is an awesome move to make. But my favorite player in basketball is Michael Jordan because he can Do a lot of slam dunks. Some people call him Michael Air Jordan because he can stay in the air for a long time. I will keep on trying to make a slam dunk.

 

 

Now I am going to tell you about my first basketball game. I was in 4^th grade and there was a basketball game for all the grades coming up. The teacher divide all of us into 4 groups. I won! (but in second place L). It was good though I got a medal for second place (I got silver, not good as gold but better than bronze. The score of my 1^st game is 3-4, so my team won, the second game the score was 2-4, but in the last game I lost the score was 4-6. So I got second place. I made 5 shots in total of all  my scores.

My Role-Model

          Definition of  'Role-model' a person looked to by others as an example to be imitated.  My role-model is Barrack Obama, I chose him because he is kind,caring and has great leadership. When he was about 10 years old he visited Indonesia, and now he is 48 years old. It was about 38 years ago, but he still remembers about Indonesia, and can still speak a little Indonesia. I believe that he will be a good leader.

           Definition of 'Idol' somebody you admire. My idol is Albert Einstein because he never gives up and he turned out to be one of the smartest man alive.

   Julian is an adventures boy. He has blonde hair, he is slightly similar with Dick. He is very well-going. He has one little brother, one little sister and a cousin. He is also the responsible one.He always is a risk-taker, but he gets more knowledgeable everyday. He takes care of everybody else. Also everyone looks up to him as a leader because he has good leadership.He always thinks things through and take one step ahead of every body.

Famous 5 Chapter 8

In chapter 8 the famous five had found a strange box. But sadly they can’t open it. So they try all kinds of ways. Then they finally opened it but, it was taken by Uncle Quentin.  Then Julian tried to take it from Uncle Quentin.  At last the box was back their hands again.  When they opened the box it had something inside.  Sadly it wasn’t a bar of gold or a any kind of treasure. It was a diary of George’s great- great- great grandfather of his ship’s voyages.  But there was another thing inside it was a MAP!

Famous 5

This is a good story about 3 children going to visit their cousin Georgina (George). Along the way George showed the 3 children her dog, Timothy. However George has to keep Timothy a secret. One day they decided to visit Kirins Island where they start of their first mystery.
